The presence of shade emerges as an essential component for optimizing coffee harvesting, requiring a precise balance between light and shadow to ensure the crop’s well-being. This principle serves as the foundational premise of the project, focused on a sensory immersion within a coffee plantation, where the trees stand as prominent protagonists and objects of admiration.
Crossing the threshold, lush vegetation, ambient sounds, handcrafted elements, and materials that shape the surroundings intertwine with characteristic aromas and culinary experiences, creating an architectural oasis that transports visitors to a distinctive context where the senses play a crucial role.
The architectural layering of the space creates unique features throughout its envelope. Both the flooring and the tree trunk pedestals direct the gaze upward, where branches intertwine with various textiles, generating scale variations and evoking the image of baskets used for coffee harvesting in the fields.
During the day, natural light filters into the space, providing remarkable luminosity. At night, varying levels of illumination interact with the textures, reliefs, and transparencies of the surroundings, shaping a more subdued and intimate atmosphere.
