OTOCH POM

OTOCH POM

Project: Estudio Atemporal
Location: Solferino, Quintana Roo, México
Area: 320 m2
Year: 2024

The project is conceived as a refuge composed of a series of volumes that provide shelter from the elements while allowing for full immersion in the jungle.
Beneath light, airy roofs that filter sunlight, protect from rain, and create a comfortable human scale, rainwater is collected as part of an integrated resource management strategy.
Built with dry construction systems and low-impact methods, the pavilions are elevated on pinpoint supports to minimize the physical footprint on the land and preserve the natural topography.
Designed to be inhabited in symbiosis with nature, the architectural ensemble celebrates and frames the landscape: spaces open to contemplate and close to protect, acknowledging the privilege of coexisting and engaging in dialogue with the jungle.
