2018
Project: Estudio Atemporal
Location: Cerrada del Pedregal, Santa Catarina, Coyoacán, CDMX
Area: 134 m2
Year: 2018
The project is conceived from a program that integrates a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities, resulting in a clean and clear architectural proposal. This sense of clarity is also reflected in the construction system, which is deliberately expressed, as well as in the use of restrained materials in their natural state.
Surrounding the house / pavilion, a series of water bodies unfold, articulating the project and acting as transitional filters between the exterior and the interior.
Through precise modulation and carefully balanced relationships between solids and voids, the project achieves plastic stability and a sense of equilibrium, ultimately materialized through a palette of natural elements: volcanic stone, wood, and stucco finishes.
Vegetation is understood not as an external element, but as an integral component of the project. Views, proportions, platforms, and water features are all conceived in harmony with the surrounding natural environment; rather than a house wrapped in vegetation, the architecture and landscape are conceived to grow and evolve together, mutually contextualizing one another.
