Project: Estudio Atemporal
Location: Valle de Bravo, Estado de México, México
Area: 430 m2
Year: 2021
The project is based on a series of considerations directly related to an understanding of the site in order to address the programmatic needs: climate, topography, vegetation, and solar orientation.
The program was conceived as a set of separate volumes, whose placement on the site depends on the identification of sufficiently large building areas in order to minimize, as much as possible, the removal of trees.
Their arrangement responds to the need to generate a sequence of experiences and paths between interior and exterior spaces that are present at all times. At the same time, this layout avoids blocking views between the volumes and seeks to achieve optimal solar exposure.
The circulation between the different volumes allows for direct contact with the surrounding environment. The house, surrounded by forest and set apart from nearby neighbors, becomes a place of silence and contemplation in relation to nature.
The volumes blend into the context and the local architecture, allowing the site itself to remain the primary focus and attraction.
