CASA NA

Project: Estudio Atemporal
Location: Ocotitlan, Morelos, México
Area: 204 m2
Year: 2021

The project is embedded in a setting defined by pronounced topography, surrounded by stone and vegetative barriers. Taking the context as a starting point, stone is adopted as a primary element, playing a specific and utilitarian role in anchoring the supporting structure of the architectural volume to the ground and enabling a material transition that softens the relationship between volume and context, as well as between exterior and interior. This approach also establishes a symbiotic constructive relationship by making use of the site’s existing materiality.

In contrast to the use of stone, a light, transparent, and simple volume is introduced to house the primary living spaces, allowing for greater openness toward the views through windows that subtly connect the interior with the exterior.
