Project: Estudio Atemporal
Location: Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, México
Area: 554 m2
Year: 2022
The development of the proposal begins with an understanding of the site—its topography, textures, orientations, and views. Based on this, the program is placed according to the specific needs of each space, always prioritizing interior experiences and their relationship with the surrounding environment and the flow of activities.
This approach results in the separation of the architectural program into a series of interconnected pavilions, linked through outdoor activities, views, and the pauses created between the volumes. Adapting as much as possible to the site’s slope, the volumes are stepped and overlapped to bring activity closer to the terrain while simultaneously opening up views and generating dynamic horizon lines between spaces.
In this way, the project achieves an integration between context and built elements, making a subtle intervention in the site by weaving the constructed architecture into the landscape.
